There has been a bunch of thefts at schools in our parish over the last week. I don't know how many people are involved but obviously a lot. They are going into the schools, finding empty classrooms and stealing credit/debit cards and cell phones out of teachers purses.
Thursday and Friday they hit my childrens schools. There are like six schools in our district and they hit the two that MY kids go to.
I would like to know how they are getting in and why are they able to get away with this. Doesn't do much to make a parent feel as though their child is safe at school. If someone can get in and walk around long enough, without being noticed, that they are stealing from teachers purses, what is to stop someone with a gun from coming in to the school? Or someone from hiding out and taking a child?
Sounds to me like something needs to be done about school security!
