I heard a story about a principal that has made a no physical contact rule at his school. A student was sent to the hospital after horseplaying with another student.
I can see the upside of this. No injuries, less spreading of germs, etc. But, let's be realistic. Kids will be kids. I don't think giving them detention or expelling them (which are the punishments if the kids are caught touching anyone else) is really going to do much to help. I think this is going to an outrageous extreme.
