Spring Break

This week is the boys Spring Break. Daddy decided this would be a great week for the boys to see exactly where he goes every Monday when he goes out of town. So, we rented a Tahoe, got some portable DVD's for the road, squeezed supplies for six for a week and made the drive to Baton Rouge with him.

When we were going to pick up the rental car, Bryce asked if we were going to the railyard. At first we did not know what he was talking about. We finally realized he was asking if we were going to get Daddy's Jeep. When we ordered it, we explained to the boys (who were wondering why we were at the dealership FOREVER and did not leave with a new vehicle) that they were making the Jeep exactly like Daddy wanted it, and then it would be shipped on a train and then taken to the dealership and we would come pick it up.

Anyway....

It is not a very scenic drive. Andrew did not enjoy being strapped down for six hours. He did a LOT of squealing and screaming. My husband-that-thinks-he-is-a-Nascar-driver got a ticket (not wanting to see how much this will cost me - 78 in a 55!!!!!). But we made it!

We are staying in a nice suite. It has 2 bedrooms, a full kitchen - even a DISHWASHER!!, a sofa-bed, an indoor pool, etc., maybe we can make it a week here! When Daddy is working, we are stuck in the hotel, but with it being a good size suite, it really isn't that bad (I know, this is only day one!).

We will do somesigt-seeing in the evenings. His boss here has said something about him taking a day off to see the area, also.

Now the boys understand where he is going when he says he is going out of town.
