We went and saw the allergist today. She did a skin allergy test - tested for peanut, fish, soy, wheat, milk and egg whites. Those all came back normal. I am not exactly sure what other things it tested for, but I know it tests for cats and mold, because those were the only two things that came back positive on the test.
Then we were sent to Children's Hospital to have some bloodwork done. They took two vials of blood :( He was fine as long as he did not look at the blood! They are doing more allergy testing - to see if anything different shows up with blood work then what we saw with the skin test. She is also testing him immune system to see if there is a reason he gets sick so easily. We should have those results in a few weeks.
She told us not to change anything with his diet just yet. Just because he did not show to be allergic to milk does not mean he doesn't have an intolerance to milk. She told us to wait and see what the results show, and then see what the GI dr wanted to do.
Four and a half hours with drs! Three and a half at the allergist and one at the hospital!
Next drs appointment: Thursday - 6:30 AM - he gets tubes (assuming he is not sick!)
