We Cheated!!!

This is the finished product of the Christmas tree this year. I finally got around to putting it up last night. To put our tree up means lots of rearranging of furniture, which also means that I clean EVERYTHING in the living room (vacuum under couches, clean baseboards, etc.).













Here is the mantle decor. Look at all of those stockings!!!!! It is hard to tell in this picture but the stocking holders spell out SANTA and the last one is a snow flake.









Now - for what is wrong with the tree picture and the cheating. You are looking at half of a tree. Our tree is so big around that I wouold have to put it in the middle of the floor for it to fit. I really wanted it in the corner to save space, so the back of the tree is BARE!! Paul had to redneck rig it to stay upsright because it is front heavy. He took some camo rope and tied it to a couple of bricks, which are hidden in the corner under the tree skirt. There are a couple of spots that if you really look are a little thin and bare, but all and all it worked well, took less lights and garland and ornaments, not to mention a lot less time!
