Responsibility

Each basketball practice, the kids are given a verse to memorize by the next practice. At the game on Saturday, Caleb's coach asked the kids if they were working on their verses. All of the kids said yes, except Caleb. Caleb instead announced to his teammates, parents and coaches that his Mom and Dad would not give him the magnet that has the verse on it. We won't even get into the fact that the magnet is on the refrigerator with his other magnets. He is getting a good lesson on responsibility out of that comment, though. We had a long talk about whose responsibility it is to do their homework, no matter what. Leave it to kids to try to make you look bad in front of a group of people! His turn will come though - I'll make sure of it!!!
