We had a very relaxing Thanksgiving. We started stuff on Wednesday evening, so we did not have to cook all day. Bryce helped Daddy clean out the turkey before he put it in the ice chest to sit in ice/salt/herb/spice water over night. After Daddy put the turkey in the ice chest and started filling it with all the liquid, a bag floated out of the turkey. He missed some of the insides!

Daddy made another beautiful, delicious turkey. He really has it down! We had way too much food - but it was all stuff we HAD to have for Thanksgiving dinner! The boys seemed to enjoy the food - especially Andrew and especially the Watergate salad!! He ate most of the bowl of that the last couple of days!

Below is a lesson in what happens if you don't watch the rolls while they are rising and they rise too much! They cooked perfect though and were delicious, but we all (including Heather, her boyfriend and his family) got a good laugh from it. Paul sent a picture of one roll with a frame around it that said "waz up" to my sisters phone. Some thought he was sending a picture of someone mooning the camera!! No - just my (bread) rolls!
Bryce removing the bag of "uckies" from the turkey.
Making sure there are no more uckies in the turkey.
Butt rolls, anyone?
