I fear we will VERY soon need a boat. Does anyone have one?
The entrance to our neighborhood was closed last night. It flooded again. The houses (which have spent the last week moving everything out of their house and pulling up carpet) have sandbags at their doors. The police closed that area with police tape and signs. It was reopened this morning when it stopped raining quite so hard and the water went down some, but the tape is still there and so are the signs. They are obviously staying prepared to close it again.
It has rained steadily all night. The news says there are many places in the area that got over 3 inches - just last night. We have not even had time to dry out from a week ago! We are out of places for this water to go!
Luckily, we live at the high end of the neighborhood and our house actually sits higher than our road, so we will be fine, but I REALLY feel for our neighbors that are not fairing as well!
Tomorrow they are saying more severe storms, probably following the same path as last weeks. That puts us in the line of fire again. We will pray and hope for the best. Daddy will be here with us this time, though.
