We were there at 6:30 this morning for Andrew's tubes. We were headed home by 7 - that should give you an idea of how it went.
He did great. The dr said he was happy until he fell asleep (they just use gas for tubes, no IV's or anything), which was quick. He woke up cranky, which is normal while the anesthetics wear off. The nurse was holding him to where he could not suck his thumb when they were waiting for me to get to recovery. She said she could not make him happy and he wanted his Mommy. I told her actually he just wants his thumb. She laid him in my arms and he immediately put his thumb in his mouth and held his blankie. Everytime he heard the nurse he would cry a little - more like a "get away from me" warning!
He has been running around and playing as normal since we got home.
He did not have any ear infections, but DID still have some fluid behind his left ear. They told us to expect blood from his ears, but especially that one.
