Car Troubles

Yesterday, on Paul's way home from work, the clutch went out in his Jeep. He called around locally this morning getting quotes to have it replaced. He found one place that was about $500, but he said that if we would bring him the parts, it would be cheaper (since they mark-up the parts) - we would just pay the labor. The part is about $120 that is how much labor cost!!!

Everywhere else he called is $700+. I sent out an email to our Sunday School class asking for recommendations. Paul always does our car maintanance and repairs, but since this involves removing the transmission - he doesn't want to chance trying it by himself! I have gotten two responses so far, both for the same place. Apparantly the owner of this shop is a preacher that is now in foreign missions. His oldest son runs the place. Unfortunately, we called and their quote was for $725. The good thing though, he seems dependable! So far I have not heard anything, good or bad, about the place with the lower cost!

So, we are down to one vehicle and unfortunately for the guys - it does NOT carry kayaks!!
