Colorado

The trip to Colorado was pretty good. We went to Wichita Kansas and stopped for the night. The boys did great at entertaining themselves for the most part of the trip. We got up at about 5:45 Friday morning to finish the drive. We got to my parents at about 1:30 Friday afternoon. It was so great to see everyone and boy have all of the kids grown. There were 9 kids and 9 adults in the house everyday but Saturday. Luckily Mom and Dad have a pretty good sized house and it wasn't bad!

Saturday there were 14 adults and 13 kids there throughout the day. We had such a good time seeing family we had not seen in years. This is the first time all of the kids have been there around everyone old enough to really know who is who and remember them. The kids all got along so well. There was not an abundance of fighting and argueing - it was really nice watching them all play together and get to know each other!

We left Monday to head back home. We did not leave until about 1 or 2 in the afternoon so it was a pretty long trip home. We got stopped (which earns its own post), there was a horrible accident just outside of Tulsa (about 20-25 emergency vehicles for what looked like a one car accident) with both sides of the road covered with flashing lights and people standing around. Luckily it was really late, so there was not much traffic! The boys slept from 8 pm (right after we stopped for dinner) until we got home. We got home at about 4 am and put everyone in bed. I got about 3 hours sleep before I had to get the kids up for school. I took them and then came home and we slept until about 1 pm. Unfortunately, when we got up for the day, I was too sick to do anything. Our stuff from the trip sat in the living room until Thursday and Friday.

Finally life is back to normal and my house is clean (reasonably speaking) again. The boys are still working on catching up on sleep so they are napping well (except for right now which is what they are supposed to be doing!!)
