Mady....Five Months Old

OH MADY!!

She is just growing too fast! She is such a busy girl now and it makes me sad! She is five months old and is talking all the time! She decided last week, in what started out as a scream of not getting her way, that she likes the way her squeal sounds. Now, she squeals...frequently...then smiles and does it again. She trys to outdo herself everytime - getting louder and holding it out longer. She babbles non-stop and likes to make gurggly spit sounds (because of the never-ending drool that comes from her)

This weekend she said Dada. Not once, but NON STOP!! Of course, Daddy is really proud and likes to rub it in my face. Even if she doesn't know what she is saying yet, I must hand it to him - she has it down and says it a lot. And, she could quite possibly know exactly what she is saying. Daddy starts "training" them at birth by constantly saying DADA over and over right in their faces when he holds or plays with them. I heart Daddy with his baby girl!

She is working on getting her first tooth still. Oh, the drool. Not too gorgeous on my baby girl! :)

She still has no hair. In fact, I think she has less hair now than she has had! I keep headbands and bows up there and that helps hide the fact that she is bald.

The other thing that hides her baldness, these:

Just hard to see past them!

She is usually a very happy girl. However, when she has had enough or is not getting her way - she is GREAT at sharing that fact with the world (and I am pretty sure at least all of our city can hear her when she wants to let her unhappiness known).

She is eating food pretty well now. She even trys to steal our food when given the chance.

She is still letting me play dress up with her, which makes Mommy VERY happy! She wore a cute tshirt that said TOO SWEET on it with an orange tutu to run errands today....considering errands started at the school for conferences, she got some attention!

She is playing with lots of toys now. She has a babydoll (that creeps Daddy out...he is weird)that has on a pig costume and oinks. She thinks it is pretty funny sounding and the babydolls hand taste REALLY good because she is always eating it.

Sleep is still a touch and go thing. We have found if we feed her food as late as possible and then nurse her and give her a bottle right before WE go to bed, she usually sleeps all night. So, that is what we try and do every night. When she sleeps all night she will usually sleep from about 9:30 or 10 to 7ish. The sleeping-all-night nights are happening more and more frequently now (thank goodness!). If she does not make it all night, she usually sleeps until around 4 and then eats and goes back to sleep.

She LOVES her Daddy! She only wants Mommy when she is sleepy or hungry....and that is just because I have the goods and he doesn't!
