Kings River Falls

Sunday we took the kids to Kings River Falls. Paul had checked out a book on trails somewhat close to where we live, that were not too long for the kids. The trail to the falls is just over a mile round trip. It is somewhat difficult to find, and pretty rough road, but we took the Jeep, so we did not have any problem. We did not really know what we were going in to, we only saw the picture in the book before we went. Apparantly it is not too well known, because there was no one there!!

It was a fairly easy hike, Bryce was able to walk the whole way without any real problems, although he screamed and tried not to walk most of the way in because we took his walking stick away from him so he would walk.

The trail goes by the river, although there were many places where there was little water, thanks to the great drought we are having. When we got to the falls though, we had a lot of fun. The kids loved it, until it was time to go! It was beautiful and the water was crystal clear, as you can tell in the photo. This is definently somewhere we will take the kids frequently.
